Our Director - Tony Russo
I am pleased and honored to be selected as your director. Ringing Hills has a rich history of bringing barbershop entertainment and joy to many in the community. For the past 12 years, barbershopping has been a passion for me, singing in several Barbershop Harmony Society choruses including The North Pennsmen from Lansdale, PA and The Mainliners from Bryn Mawr, PA as a baritone.
Since 2001, I’ve been involved in learning and honing my craft as a director attending BHS Harmony University and earning Director Certification in 2002. I joined the faculty of HU in 2007 and have served on the faculty of BHS Mid-Atlantic District’s Harmony College East in Salisbury, MD.
From 2005 until I came to Ringing Hills, I served as Music Director AND website designer/administrator of The Ches-Mont Jubilaires chapter of BHS of Pottstown, PA
I’ve also studied voice under several well-known instructors from the bel-canto school and only regret I did not start at a younger age.
When I’m not immersed in choral activities, I enjoy cooking, doing puzzles in an attempt to keep an aging brain functioning and my work as an Information Technology professional. Since my wife Stephanie and I are child-free, we enjoy our time with our families and 3 great-nieces.
